"Skilled Worker Class" immigrants are those who
apply for permanent residence on their own merit such as
Education, Work Experience, Language Proficiency etc. Skilled
Work Class immigrants destined for Quebec are subject to
that province's selection criteria. For all other destinations,
the federal selection system applies.

You need a minimum of 67
points out 100 points. Additionally, you need to convince
the immigration officials that you will be able to fit into
the Canadian way of life and adapt to the country and offer
you.
Points are awarded in each category based on the following
criteria:
1. Education points are based on your degree/diploma/trade
certifciate obtained and number of years to complete your
qualification.
2. Lanuage Proficiency points are based on two Official
Languages English and French. For the language in which
the applicant states greatest competency can be regarded
as 1st official language. An assessment of ability is done
in four categories: speaking, listening, writing and reading.

years of your work experience.
4. Arranged Employment in Canada points will be awarded
to you if you have a confirmed offer of permanent employment
approved by Human Resource Development Canada (HRDC) or
you have a temporary work permit in Canada.
